 Port Arrival Notification Requirements, Aden

 1.            The IMO International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code) under Chapter XI-2 of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) 1974 relating to ship and port security entered into force on 1st July.

2.            Yemen Ports Authority (YPA) wishes to remind all vessels calling at the Port of Aden that, as promulgated in various international Port Information publications and the Port Bye-Laws, 48 hours notification of arrival at Aden is required.[1]

3.            Arrival information sent to the ship’s Agent should include Pre-arrival Notification of Security (PANS), the Crew and Passenger List and the standard Notification of Arrival.

4.            Any changes in requirements will be promulgated by Yemen Ports Authority and a notice will be posted at the YPA Website at http://www.portofaden.com.
